{"id":38780,"date":"2025-04-21T16:42:08","date_gmt":"2025-04-21T16:42:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/38780\/"},"modified":"2025-04-21T16:42:08","modified_gmt":"2025-04-21T16:42:08","slug":"wonder-is-a-collection-of-mesmerizing-mixed-reality-experiences-coming-soon-from-gadgeteer-studio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/38780\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Wonder&#8217; is a Collection of Mesmerizing Mixed Reality Experiences Coming Soon from &#8216;Gadgeteer&#8217; Studio"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Metanaut, the studio behind Rube Goldberg-inspired physics sandbox <a href=\"https:\/\/www.meta.com\/en-gb\/experiences\/gadgeteer\/2567395559960697\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gadgeteer (2019)<\/a>, announced they\u2019re releasing an anthology of virtual and mixed reality experiences designed to mesmerize.<\/p>\n<p>Called\u00a0Wonder,\u00a0the experience is slated to land on Quest 3\/S within the \u201cnext couple of months,\u201d aiming to deliver what Metanaut calls a\u00a0\u201cperfect escape\u201d from your busy life.<\/p>\n<p>Initially announced back in late 2021,\u00a0Wonder\u00a0is set to feature three experiences when it launches this Spring, with more coming post-launch:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Ancient Ruins:<\/strong>\u00a0your familiar space morphs into a mysterious cave that gets swallowed up by a blackhole.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Jellyfish Bloom:<\/strong>\u00a0a mesmerizing deep-sea spectacle filled with bioluminescent jellyfish that lights up your walls and furniture.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Parallel Worlds:<\/strong>\u00a0where reality-bending portals reveal alternate versions of your environment in ice, dots, and more.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Metanaut says\u00a0Wonder is being developed with \u201cclever and advanced rendering techniques\u201d that is\u00a0pushing Quest 3 to deliver photorealistic visuals thanks to the inclusion of scanned room meshes. It\u2019s also a hand tracking-only title, letting you put down your controllers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis technical achievement is paired with custom-crafted, beautiful audio from award-winning music studio, Ictus Audio, whose accolades include winning the John Lennon Songwriting Award,\u201d the studio says.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe XR industry seems to have shifted from serving adults to kids, and from high-quality premium titles to free-to-play slop,\u201d says Peter Kao, founder of Metanaut. \u201cWith Wonder, we wanted to create a magical experience for an underserved audience\u2014one who is older and one who wants to experience the highest audiovisual spectacle possible on latest headsets.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wonder is now available for pre-order for $4, and is expected to increase in price as more content is released after launch.
