Leeds United are eyeing a creative midfielder ahead of transfer deadline day, but it won\u2019t be Bilal El Khannouss or Gus Hamer.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Even going back to last summer,\u00a0Gus Hamer<\/a>\u00a0has been a target for\u00a0Daniel Farke and the 49ers at\u00a0Leeds United<\/a>. He remains a target, but other playmakers like Bilal El Khannouss have been on Leeds\u2019 radar<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Leeds\u2019 links to Hamer were reignited<\/a>\u00a0this summer following Sheffield United\u2019s Championship play-off final defeat. Earlier in the summer, it was claimed that\u00a0Hamer preferred a move to PSV Eindhoven<\/a>.<\/p>\n

However, there have been conflicting reports, with it then claimed that\u00a0Leeds were stepping up efforts to sign Hamer<\/a>. Nothing has materialised yet for either player, and time is now running out for Leeds.<\/p>\n

It was said that Hamer was one of four attacking midfielders on Leeds\u2019 final shortlist<\/a>. That report was weeks ago with no movement \u2014 and it then looked like\u00a0Hamer might stay with Sheffield United<\/a>\u00a0or move back to the Netherlands.<\/p>\n

This week, it was stated a deal for Leeds and Hamer wasn\u2019t dead<\/a>, even if other Sheffield United reports played down Hamer to Leeds<\/a>. But there have been further developments since then.<\/p>\n

Pete O\u2019Rourke is reporting PSV Eindhoven are advancing in talks to sign Sheffield United\u2019s star Gustavo Hamer ahead of tomorrow\u2019s transfer deadline. The update comes after disappointing El Khannouss news for Leeds<\/a> earlier today.<\/p>\n
