We chatted to Sharlene about starring in the West End production of Disney\u2019s Hercules<\/strong>\u2026<\/p>\n

Hi Sharlene, how does it feel to be part of Hercules? <\/strong>It\u2019s very exciting!
It\u2019s absolutely magnificent. I\u2019m very proud to be part of such a beautiful show!<\/p>\n

What was it for you that made you want to be part of the production?<\/strong> Before I even knew Hercules was coming to London I had watched the animated film, and I
messaged my then agent saying \u2018If someone decides to make a production of Hercules
please do whatever you can to get me an audition!!\u2019 \u00a0Up to that point I\u2019d never really had a dream role in mind for myself but playing a Muse is something I really resonated with. I love storytelling and the Muses are literally the storytellers of the show. The songs in the show are really great and quite a few of them are not in the film. It\u2019s a totally new production, so it\u2019s all very exciting!<\/p>\n

What can London audiences expect from Hercules? <\/strong>London audiences can expect a spectacle! This show has great music by Alan Menken & David Zippel, a really funny script thanks to Kwame Kwei-Armah \u00a0& Robert Horn and the show has been so well cast. All the players on stage including the swings and standbys are phenomenal! The sound design, costume, make up, wigs, set design and choreography all make this show an incredible experience.<\/p>\n

How has it been working on the show so far?<\/strong> Rehearsals were very intense and although the show opened in June, we\u2019d all been having fittings for costumes since last year! There\u2019s still a lot to learn but our creative team is wonderful!<\/p>\n

What are you most looking forward to about bringing the show to West End audiences?<\/strong> I\u2019m looking forward to meeting people who haven\u2019t really seen themselves represented on stage very much. I hope they see themselves in us.<\/p>\n
