{"id":388002,"date":"2025-08-31T23:25:10","date_gmt":"2025-08-31T23:25:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/388002\/"},"modified":"2025-08-31T23:25:10","modified_gmt":"2025-08-31T23:25:10","slug":"woman-livid-after-finding-out-her-husband-used-their-daughters-name-in-a-book","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/388002\/","title":{"rendered":"Woman Livid After Finding Out Her Husband Used Their Daughter\u2019s Name in a Book"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> NEED TO KNOW<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A mother was furious when she found out that her husband got the inspiration for their daughter\u2019s name from a book he wrote<\/li>\n<li>The 37-year-old revealed on Reddit that she got revenge by destroying the papers he was currently working on <\/li>\n<li>\u201cI was a little worked up at the time,\u201d the mother of two said of her reaction<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_2-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> A woman is reconsidering the drastic action she took after discovering that her husband named their daughter after a character in one of his books.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_4-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> In a post on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/AITAH\/comments\/1mmo5ki\/aitah_blow_up_because_of_my_daughters_name\/\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"externalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Reddit<\/a>\u2019s AITAH [Am I the A&#8212;&#8212;] forum, the 37-year-old woman explained that she and her husband, 25, share two kids, one of whom is a five-year-old girl.\u00a0 She works as a professor, while her husband is a stay-at-home father and an \u201camateur writer.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_6-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> &#8220;He doesn&#8217;t do the best, but he takes care of the kids, so it&#8217;s fine for him to have a hobby,&#8221; the woman said of her husband, before adding that she only recently learned he was inspired by a protagonist in one of his books when naming their daughter.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_8-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> &#8220;It&#8217;s a unique and beautiful name and I loved it, but he never told me where it came from,&#8221; she said.\n<\/p>\n<p> Man taking care of two kids (stock image).<\/p>\n<p>Getty<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_11-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> However, the truth came out when the husband was reading through some of his old writings and decided to proudly show it off to his wife.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_13-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> &#8220;I immediately latched on to our daughter&#8217;s name in the document,&#8221; the mother of two said.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_15-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> At first, she admitted, she was mad because she thought her partner was actively writing his daughter into &#8220;one of his bad [young adult] stories.&#8221; But when she asked him about it, he revealed that &#8220;the name actually came from the manuscript.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_19-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> &#8220;Now I was incredibly angry that he hadn&#8217;t told me about this and he tried to pretend like he was in the right by saying I didn&#8217;t ask,&#8221; the woman said. &#8220;You should tell people when you name their daughter after a book character.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_21-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> The woman recalled her husband saying that &#8220;it wasn\u2019t a big deal&#8221; because he didn\u2019t finish the book, which prompted her to note that he &#8220;never finishes any of them.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_23-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> As the conversation got heated, the husband &#8220;tried to dodge the confrontation&#8221; and eventually escaped when their son began to cry. The woman demanded her partner &#8220;to stay,&#8221; but he didn\u2019t, so while he was seemingly changing their kid\u2019s diaper, she &#8220;started putting all the papers I could get into the shredder.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_25-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> &#8220;I was a little worked up at the time,&#8221; the woman said.\n<\/p>\n<p> Woman shredding paper (stock image).<\/p>\n<p>Getty<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_28-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> The woman recalled that her husband &#8220;started freaking out&#8221; when he returned to the room, as he does most of his writing with a typewriter or pen. &#8220;He has digital copies,&#8221; she argued, adding that he \u201cnever actually does anything with the books anyway.\u201d\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_30-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> After a big fight, the man left with both of their children to stay at his parents\u2019 home.
