Come prepared with a sleeping bag, blanket, or lawn chair. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Lie flat on your back with your feet facing east and look up, taking in as much of the sky as possible. <\/p>\n<p>Watch dramatic moment giant 3,500mph METEOR explodes in blazing white hot fireball over Siberia turning night into day<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;After about 30 minutes in the dark, your eyes will adapt and you will begin to see meteors. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Be patient \u2013 the show will last until dawn, so you have plenty of time to catch a glimpse.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It comes months after Scots were treated to a double celestial special as the northern lights and a rare meteor shower put on a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thescottishsun.co.uk\/news\/13338343\/perseid-meteor-shower-northern-lights-scotland\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">spectacular<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thescottishsun.co.uk\/news\/13338343\/perseid-meteor-shower-northern-lights-scotland\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">display<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>More than 100\u00a0shooting\u00a0stars from the Perseid meteor shower zoomed across the skies every hour.<\/p>\n<p>The display was described as &#8220;one of the most dramatic things to see in the night\u00a0sky&#8221; by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thescottishsun.co.uk\/topic\/weather\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">weather<\/a>\u00a0boffins.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A SPECTACULAR Lyrid meteor shower is set to dazzle the skies over Scotland this week.
