Wrexham are looking to bring in another defender ahead of Monday\u2019s transfer deadline as Phil Parkinson continues to chase signings.<\/strong><\/p>\n

10 new signings have arrived at Wrexham<\/a> this summer, with Rob Mac<\/a> and Ryan Reynolds continuing to back boss Phil Parkinson<\/a> handsomely.<\/p>\n

The spending this summer has been significant, with more than \u00a320million committed to new additions.<\/p>\n

Another \u00a36.5million is now set to be spent as Coventry City captain Ben Sheaf closes in on a move to Wrexham<\/a>.<\/p>\n

That may not be the end of the recruitment, as Wrexham are also chasing Bristol City defender Zak Vyner<\/a> ahead of the deadline.<\/p>\n

The Robins have rejected two bids from Wrexham so far, and Vyner is not the only name on the radar.<\/p>\n

Wrexham looked into signing Jack Robinson<\/a> from Sheffield United in August.<\/p>\n

Parkinson was in the market for a left-sided centre-back, and Robinson had emerged as a potential signing.<\/p>\n

Robinson knows Conor Coady very well<\/a>, but Wrexham then signed Callum Doyle<\/a> to seemingly bring the Robinson rumours to an end.<\/p>\n

That may not be the case, though, as TEAMtalk\u2019s Darren Witcoop reports that Wrexham are still keen on signing Robinson before the deadline.<\/p>\n

Championship rivals Watford are also keen on Robinson, who currently serves as Sheffield United\u2019s captain.<\/p>\n

The 31-year-old is inside the final year of his contract, just like other Wrexham targets such as Sheaf and Vyner.<\/p>\n

Thomas O\u2019Connor\u2019s potential Wrexham exit<\/a> may just leave Parkinson considering adding another left-sided defender before the window closes.<\/p>\n

Jack Robinson interest could hinge on Zak Vyner deal<\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s a little difficult to see Wrexham signing both Robinson and Vyner on deadline day.<\/p>\n

Signing both would leave Lewis Brunt well down the pecking order, and that just does not seem likely, given his role under Parkinson since signing last summer.<\/p>\n

We can see the thinking, though: if Robinson arrives, then Brunt can switch over to the right side and offer competition for Max Cleworth.<\/p>\n

If Vyner signs, then he becomes Cleworth\u2019s competition and Brunt remains as competition for Doyle as the left-sided centre-back.<\/p>\n

Bristol City have stood firm on Vyner so far, and if they still won\u2019t budge, then Robinson could come into the picture and facilitate the versatile Brunt switching his role moving forward.<\/p>\n
