A man has been arrested after two people were attacked during an aggravated burglary in Derry.<\/p>\n

It is believed that two men armed with knives forced entry to a house in the London Street area of the city. <\/p>\n

The two occupants of the home were assaulted, and significant criminal damage was caused to the property. <\/p>\n

Police said the intruders also stole a sum of money from the house. <\/p>\n

The incident was reported during the early hours of Saturday at around 1.55am. <\/p>\n

A PSNI spokesperson said that a 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of offences in connection with the incidents. <\/p>\n

He remained in police custody on Sunday.<\/p>\n
