Mike Perry can now say his bare knuckle boxing debut came against a BKFC champion.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After 36 fights across combat sports, half of those being bare knuckle boxing matches, Julian Lane now holds BKFC<\/a> gold around his waist.<\/p>\n

For many years, Lane was mainly known for his viral tantrum on \u2018The Ultimate Fighter\u2019<\/a> season 16 where said, \u2018Let me bang, bro,\u2019 to a fellow contestant after losing his chance to get a UFC contract.<\/p>\n

While he never made it to the UFC<\/a>, \u2018Let Me Bang\u2019 Lane has made a name for himself in BKFC with five-straight wins in the Squared Circle. Lane defeated Gorjan Slaveski by decision to win the welterweight title in the BKFC 79 main event<\/a> earlier this month.<\/p>\n

Post-fight, Lane called out the BKFC\u2019s \u2018King of Violence\u2019 Mike Perry<\/a> for a rematch after previously going the distance in 2022.<\/p>\n

Perry has weighed in on Lane\u2019s recent title win.<\/p>\n

Lane bounced between wins and losses for much of his MMA career, never able to get too much momentum.<\/p>\n

From 2021 to 2023, Lane lost seven fights in a row, including a unanimous decision to a debuting Perry at Knuckle Mania 2.<\/p>\n

In 2025, the 38-year-old Lane has won his last six fights, including an MMA bout.<\/p>\n

\u201cMan, I\u2019m happy for Julian Lane,\u201d Perry told Bloody Elbow when asked about his former foe.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe success he\u2019s been having, he\u2019s on a six fight win streak. He\u2019s a tough little savage guy, man. He really is. He is a savage.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had a savage fight back in the day,\u201d Perry said of Lane.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy first bare knuckle fight against a very experienced bare knuckle fighter. He still got a bunch of bare knuckle fights. He finally got some recognition with that bare knuckle title.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know, I do gotta say he didn\u2019t beat a champion, I don\u2019t think,\u201d Perry said of Lane\u2019s last opponent Gorjan Slaveski, who he mentioned was a \u2018great competitor\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, let\u2019s see Julian keep it going. I wanna fight at 185. Bare Knuckle\u2019s gonna do whatever the hell they want and offer me a fight, and I\u2019m probably just gonna accept it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been dieting hard. I\u2019m still afraid of the weight cut. Like, it\u2019s gonna happen, but I\u2019m just hoping that I\u2019ll make it,\u201d Perry said ahead of his middleweight bout against Jeremy Stephens<\/a> at BKFC 82 on Oct. 4.<\/p>\n

Julian Lane gets new tattoo like Cody Garbrandt<\/p>\n

Lane got a new face tattoo following his BKFC title win.<\/p>\n

The BKFC Welterweight Champion took after his \u2018The Ultimate Fighter 25\u2019 coach and former UFC Champ Cody Garbrandt<\/a> by getting a tattoo across his face and eye.<\/p>\n

Instead of getting a sword like Garbrandt, Lane got a cross for his faith.<\/p>\n
