For Meghan Markle<\/a>, the perfect start to the day is cooking breakfast for Prince Harry<\/a> and their kids, Prince Archie<\/a> and Princess Lilibet<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n The conversation arose as the Duchess of Sussex prepared French toast alongside Queer Eye<\/a> star Tan France in the latest season of her series With Love, Meghan<\/a>, which premiered on Netflix on Tuesday, Aug. 26.\n<\/p>\n “I make hot breakfast most mornings for the kids and my husband. But it\u2019s not as complicated as people think it is. This is so easy to make,” Meghan, 44, said. “It feels like a big undertaking, but you\u2019re just slicing bread and dunking it in eggs and calling it a day.\u201d\n<\/p>\n “You\u2019re at the griddle. They\u2019re not just eating cereal,” France responded.\n<\/p>\n Tan France and Meghan Markle on With Love, Meghan.<\/p>\n Jake Rosenberg\/Netflix<\/p>\n \u201cYes, fried eggs and pancakes,” Meghan said, noting some of the special details her children, 6-year-old Archie and 4-year-old Lili, look forward to. “But I like to do surprise pancakes for the kids, so I always put some ground flax seeds, pour some chia seeds. And Lili will ask me, \u2018Can I have chia seeds? I want it to have freckles.\u2019 \u201d\n<\/p>\n She explained that the daily routine allows them to be intentional about the moments they spend together.<\/p>\n \u201cThe ritual of breakfast, it\u2019s a sacred time as a family. You pace it. You can talk about what they\u2019re excited for the day. So just take a minute of calm before the day, wherever the day is going to end up taking you,” the Duchess of Sussex said.\n<\/p>\n Still, the As ever<\/a> creator likes to add her own signature flair.\n<\/p>\n \u201cOne thing I do with my kids \u2014 and I will say that it takes a bit more time \u2014 I like the presentation for them. Archie will say, \u2018Oh, mama, that looks beautiful,\u2019 \u201d Meghan said.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n In March, she took to Instagram Stories to show off a special green waffle creation for the kids’ breakfast in honor of St. Patrick’s Day<\/a> and was equally on theme with strawberries and red swirled bagels frosted with a pink spread for Valentine’s Day<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m up before my kids are, so I\u2019m normally up at 6:30, and then I get them up and dressed for the day, and we go downstairs,” she told PEOPLE<\/a> earlier this year. “I love making breakfast for my family.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
