Birmingham<\/a> City have had a summer transfer window like few other promoted clubs ever have, spending well and recruiting ambitiously in their bid to become a force at the top of the Championship. And, with deadline day upon us, BCFC aren\u2019t done yet.<\/p>\n

With big signings such as Kyogo Furuhashi<\/a>, Tommy Doyle<\/a> and more, the Blues now have a deep squad ready to take on the rigours of a second tier promotion push.<\/p>\n

However, such additions have pushed those on the fringes of the first-team even further down the pecking order<\/a>. Among them is forward Tyler Roberts, but the Welshman looks set for a late move away from St. Andrew\u2019s.<\/p>\n

According to a report from Football League World<\/a>, Birmingham<\/a> City are offloading Roberts to League One side Mansfield Town<\/a> on loan.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old attacker is undergoing his medical with the Stags as he looks to find minutes away from BCFC. With the necessary checks underway and formalities of the deal being completed, it will be hoped the move can be done comfortably before tonight\u2019s 7pm deadline.<\/p>\n

Roberts joined Birmingham<\/a> City in the summer of 2023 following a drop down the pecking order at Leeds United<\/a>. It was hoped that a move to St. Andrew\u2019s could help the Wales international get back to his dangerous best, but it hasn\u2019t panned out as such unfortunately.<\/p>\n

Between injury, a lack of form and competition for starting spots, Roberts\u2019 BCFC impact has been extremely limited and as a result, he is now far down the ranks under Chris Davies.<\/p>\n

Last season was spent on loan in League One with Northampton Town<\/a>, and he is now set to return to the level in the hope of rediscovering what made him a hot commodity in his emergence at West Brom<\/a> as a youngster.<\/p>\n

Given the glut of attacking stars available for selection at Birmingham<\/a> City, it is no wonder Roberts is heading out to find opportunities elsewhere once again.<\/p>\n

The Blues have added Furuhashi and Marvin Ducksch as new strikers, while Lewis Koumas can play across the front three. Jay Stansfield is the prized asset up top.<\/p>\n

The depth means Lyndon Dykes is being lined up for an exit as well, with Hibernian keen. As the deadline day clock ticks, time will tell just how many move on from BCFC.<\/p>\n
