Florian Wirtz has arrived at Germany’s national team camp and is set to be fit to play in their first World Cup qualifiers later in the week.<\/p>\n

There were concerns he may have suffered a muscle injury, but Liverpool coach Arne Slot later spoke of cramps, and there was no talk of an injury when he arrived in Germany on Monday.<\/p>\n
Germany start qualifying on Thursday in Bratislava against Slovakia, and host Northern Ireland on Sunday in Cologne.<\/p>\n
Luxembourg are the other team in the group, with the group winner qualifying directly for the 2026 tournament in the United States, Mexico and Canada.<\/p>\n
Wirtz is a key player for Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann. That even more because the other creative forward, Jamal Musiala, is sidelined for months with a leg fracture, and Tim Kleindienst and Kai Havertz are injured as well.<\/p>\n

Nagelsmann is also without first choice goalkeeper Marc-Andr\u00e9 ter Stegen and centre back Nico Schlotterbeck.<\/p>\n
Eintracht Frankfurt full back Nnamdi Collins, Mainz midfielder Paul Nebel and Augsburg goalkeeper Finn Dahmen are three new men in the squad.<\/p>\n
