(Image: DARLINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL) Cllr Matthew Roche said: \u201cThese exciting plans will not only mean great new facilities but will also increase footfall to the town centre and support the finances of our much-loved Dolphin Centre.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cThe Dolphin Centre has been at the heart of Darlington life for over 40 years. As a 43-year-old building, it naturally needs some tender loving care from time to time, and these new proposals will help make sure it continues to thrive.\u201d\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  It comes after the success of the DC Bowl bowling alley, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thenorthernecho.co.uk\/news\/19308818.dc-bowl-open-darlingtons-dolphin-centre-week\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">which opened in 2021 after a \u00a31.7m investment.<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   alt=\"The Dolphin Centre.\" style=\"width: 100%;\"\/>The Dolphin Centre.
