For now, the decentralized network says it will \u201cproactively verify\u201d these accounts, granting them a checkmark in a blue circle next to their account name.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">Bluesky is also giving some organizations \u201cTrusted Verifier\u201d status, allowing organizations like The New York Times to verify users affiliated with them. Bluesky\u2019s moderation team will then review each verification \u201cto ensure authenticity.\u201d Trusted Verifiers will have a checkmark in a scalloped circle next to their account name, instead of a rounded one.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">Although Bluesky won\u2019t let users apply for verified or trusted verifier status just yet, the platform plans to take requests \u201conce the feature stabilizes based on feedback.\u201d You can see which organization verified a user by selecting the account\u2019s blue checkmark.
