The Marine Hotel in Ballycastle<\/a> has been put up for sale by Savills Ireland \u2013 a Dublin-based estate agent.<\/p>\n

The hotel is located on the Ballycastle promenade, offering guests views across the North Atlantic and out towards the Scottish coastline.<\/p>\n

Awarded a four-star rating by the AA in August 2024, the Marine Hotel boasts 51 spacious en-suite bedrooms and is a popular venue for weddings, conferences and events.<\/p>\n

Savills said the hotel presents \u201csignificant scope for further development and enhancement.\u201d<\/p>\n

The hotel has final planning permission for 14 additional hotel bedrooms, conversion of the Country Club to 10 self-catering holiday units and alterations to the existing hotel. These include an extended restaurant\/bar at ground floor, a new drop-off area and entrance with lobby and rooftop meeting and events space with external terrace.<\/p>\n

The hotel\u2019s site, which spans approximately 1.4 acres, also includes a former country club building, with potential for redevelopment into high-end holiday apartments, a rooftop terrace and additional leisure facilities.<\/p>\n

These proposed developments would increase the hotel\u2019s total floor area by 1,482 square metres.<\/p>\n

The Marine Hotel’s car park also presents an opportunity for further asset management, the agents said.<\/p>\n
