Leeds United fans have let their fury with the club\u2019s disastrous deadline day be known in the replies to the club\u2019s first social media post since the transfer window closed.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dread from it, run from it, hide from it, the fury of Leeds United<\/a> fans will arrive all the same after yet another calamitous deadline day for the history books.<\/a><\/p>\n

The task was very clear for Leeds on the final day of the summer transfer window:<\/a> enhance Daniel Farke\u2019s<\/a> attack with at the very least one creative player.<\/p>\n

Farke had made it clear his side needed further forward<\/a> signings to have enough firepower to survive in the Premier League, while the 49ers<\/a> had promised there would be moves late in the window and that every penny possible would be spent.<\/p>\n

They were cheques the owners wrote but could not cash and the transfer window closed<\/a> without any new recruits.<\/p>\n

Leeds have at least strengthened well defensively<\/a> within their 10 summer signings, but the lack of attacking flair, especially after allowing Largie Ramazani to go on loan to Valencia,<\/a> has not gone down well with fans, to say the least.<\/p>\n

Leeds United\u2019s official social media channels were conspicuously quiet on deadline day and well into the following day on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The club didn\u2019t even post confirmation of Darko Gyabi\u2019s move to Hull City<\/a> or the release of their brand new Adidas trefoil clothing range, perhaps in fear of the wrath that awaited them when they did.<\/p>\n

Leeds finally published a post on X, formerly Twitter, at 11:41am on Tuesday, over 24 hours since their last post of Ilia Gruev\u2019s<\/a> midfield heatmap, which was also met with derision.<\/p>\n

Tuesday\u2019s post was about the 10 Leeds players who will be representing their countries during the international break, but fans in the replies cared little about that.<\/p>\n

At the time of writing, the post has 354 replies. None of them positive and many of them unpublishable.<\/p>\n

What went wrong for Leeds United on transfer deadline day?<\/p>\n

Leeds were at least active in the window on deadline day, but they should never have been in a position where they were still in desperate need of new signings with little time left on the clock.<\/p>\n

The Whites had missed out on several playmaker signings in the final week of the window, with Emi Buendia, Christiantus Uche and Facundo Buonanotte<\/a> all targeted.<\/p>\n

That left few options on deadline day, but Fulham\u2019s Harry Wilson emerged as a target.<\/a> After a loan offer was rejected, a deal was quickly agreed and the transfer looked on.<\/p>\n

However, with the deal sheet submitted, Fulham pulled the plug late on and Leeds<\/a> were left with nothing.<\/p>\n

There is still time to salvage things, though, as free agents like Christian Eriksen or Josh Brownhill<\/a> could be signed outside of the window.<\/p>\n
