The Collective Gala invites everyone of all ages to go to the Collective on Calton Hill and enjoy the organisation\u2019s free wide-ranging programmes this weekend. This will be the second Collective Gala and it takes place on Sunday 7 September from 11am to 5pm. <\/p>\n

This year\u2019s event offers the chance to explore newly commissioned artworks by Scottish artists, join behind-the-scenes tours, shop with local makers, sample Edinburgh\u2019s new Cafe Calton, and enjoy creative play sessions for children.<\/p>\n

The day will culminate in a celebratory procession inspired by Gala traditions \u2013 led by multi-disciplinary artist and singer Quinie and visual artist Seamus Killick.<\/p>\n

Following the procession, Scottish artist and performer Quinie, also known as Josie Vallely, will perform live music. Quinie\u2019s multi-disciplinary practice blends folk traditions, walking, song, storytelling, and visual art to explore Scots language, memory, land, and belonging. Quinie will unveil an artwork inspired by the view from the hill. <\/p>\n

Full day of activities <\/p>\n

The programme of activities can be booked at Collective on the Gala Day, however booking for the walking tours is encouraged ahead of time due to limited capacity.<\/p>\n
