Police were called to an incident in the capital’s<\/a> Great Junction Street, near to Bonnington Road, at around 2am on Tuesday.<\/p>\n A 22-year-old man<\/a> was found injured and later died at the scene.<\/p>\n Police Scotland<\/a> said his death is being treated as suspicious.<\/p>\n Residents<\/a> told how they heard a man and woman arguing in the street before police arrived.<\/p>\n One neighbour<\/a> said: “I heard a lot of yelling between a man and a woman in the early hours around 2am.<\/p>\n “I then heard several police cars arrive at the scene. It was a stabbing. They said they will be going door to door to take statements.”<\/p>\n A number of businesses inside the cordon have been closed for the day while police officers<\/a> continued to investigate the young man’s death.<\/p>\n Forensic officers<\/a> were seen combing the street earlier today. A blue tent has been erected in the middle of a cordon.<\/p>\n Several police officers, wearing hi-vis uniforms, can be seen within the cordon at that end, as well as two police vehicles<\/a> – a squad car and a 4×4.<\/p>\n A Scottish Ambulance Service<\/a> spokesperson confirmed paramedics had also attended the incident.
