{"id":392485,"date":"2025-09-02T17:54:07","date_gmt":"2025-09-02T17:54:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/392485\/"},"modified":"2025-09-02T17:54:07","modified_gmt":"2025-09-02T17:54:07","slug":"have-your-say-on-new-region-wide-nature-blueprint","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/392485\/","title":{"rendered":"Have your say on new region-wide nature blueprint"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Borough residents are being urged to have their say on a new blueprint designed to protect and improve nature and green spaces across the West Midlands.<\/p>\n<p>A public consultation is under way to help prepare the West Midlands Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS). It is being led by West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) in conjunction with councils and partners.<\/p>\n<p>The West Midlands LNRS consultation runs until Friday September 12. People can read the draft LNRS and have their say on it at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wmca.org.uk\/LNRS\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.wmca.org.uk\/LNRS<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Councillor Simon Phipps, cabinet member for economy and infrastructure, said:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile expert knowledge has been critical in developing the LNRS, it is equally important to understand the views of people who live and work in the region.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat includes people in our borough, and I\u2019d really like as many people as possible to take part in this consultation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn a survey conducted by WMCA last year, nearly two thirds of those who responded said green spaces were important.
