The former French Open and Wimbledon champion did cut Pegula&#8217;s advantage to 4-3, but the American pulled away to win the final two games.<\/p>\n<p>In the second set, Krej\u010d\u00edkov\u00e1&#8217;s serving issues continued and Pegula took advantage. Krej\u010d\u00edkov\u00e1&#8217;s overall first serve win percentage was <a data-i13n=\"cpos:3;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.usopen.org\/en_US\/scores\/index.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:43% in the match;cpos:3;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">43% in the match<\/a> and she was 31% in second serve win percentage.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I think I&#8217;ve been playing some really good tennis, I&#8217;ve just been playing very solid,&#8221; Pegula said after the match. &#8220;I&#8217;ve been having very good starts, so I really wanted to do that today, especially against someone like her who&#8217;s very dangerous.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>Pegula, a three-time winner on tour this year, will face either No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka or Mark\u00e9ta Vondrou\u0161ov\u00e1 in the semifinals on Thursday.
