\n\tRobin Wright<\/a> is getting candid about her life living in the U.K.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a Saturday profile with The Times U.K.<\/a>, The Girlfriend star reflected on the contrasts between America and England, as she\u2019s been working and living in the latter country for the past few years. Wright considered the lifestyle differences between the two, noting that \u201ca freedom of self here\u201d in England as opposed to the United States, where \u201ceverything\u2019s rush, competition and speed.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAmerica is a shitshow. \u2026 I love being in this country. There\u2019s a freedom of self here. People are so kind,\u201d she said. \u201cThey\u2019re living. They\u2019re not in the car in traffic, panicked on a phone call, eating a sandwich. That\u2019s most of America. Everything\u2019s rush, competition and speed.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tOf what she\u2019s noticed during her time living in the U.K., the Forrest Gump<\/a> actress admitted she\u2019s still learning to grapple with England\u2019s \u201cobsession with class,\u201d as The Times put it.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s very evident when you\u2019re in a room and you feel the judgment or the praise of someone who\u2019s more elevated,\u201d she added. \u201cI\u2019m trying to figure it out. Why are you guys so obsessed with who went to this boarding school or this university? Who gives a shit?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWright is not the first Hollywood star to move out of the United States in recent years. In March, following President Donald Trump\u2019s return to office, Rosie O\u2019Donnell moved to Ireland<\/a> and confirmed she was actively seeking citizenship.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe people here are so loving, kind and welcoming. I\u2019m very grateful,\u201d she said at the time. Mark Hamill<\/a> recently also told The Times he nearly left the U.S. following Trump\u2019s re-election, but his wife convinced him not to exit the country after he proposed moving to London or Ireland.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cShe\u2019s very clever,\u201d he said. \u201cShe didn\u2019t respond right away, but a week later she said, \u2018I\u2019m surprised you would allow him to force you out of your own country.\u2019 That son of a bitch, I thought.
