What\u2019s more is that it won\u2019t just be the tube\u00a0that\u2019ll be hit by strikes: DLR workers will also walk out as part of a separate dispute. Here\u2019s the lowdown on who is going on strike and when.\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>&#13;<\/p>\n<li><strong>Friday September 5 to Sunday September 7\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 depot operational control managers at Ruislip will walk out from 6pm on September 5\u00a0to 5.59pm on September 7.<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li><strong>Sunday September 7<\/strong> \u2013 track access controllers, London Underground control centre, power\/control and ERU members will strike from 12.01am to 11.59pm.<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li><strong>Monday September 8<\/strong> \u2013 all fleet (except engineering vehicles operations and maintenance and ERU), plus engineering, stations and trains members will walk out.\u00a0Strike from 12.01am to 11.59pm.<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li><strong>Tuesday\u00a0September 9<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 signallers, service control and ERU members will strike between 12.01am and 11.59pm on Tuesday 9th September 2025.<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li><strong>Wednesday September 10<\/strong> \u2013 all fleet (except engineering vehicles operations and maintenance and ERU), plus engineering, stations and trains members will walk out\u00a0from 12.01am to 11.59pm.<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li><strong>Thursday September 11\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 signallers and service Control members will strike between\u00a012.01am and 11.59pm.<\/li>\n<p>&#13;\n<\/ul>\n<p>There is, of course, still a chance that the RMT and London Underground management\u00a0will come to an agreement before the strikes take place. We\u2019ll update this page if and when there are developments.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>DLR strikes<\/p>\n<p>The DLR \u2013 which is a train service, not a tube \u2013 will be hit by strikes in the week beginning September 7, lasting until September 11.\u00a0The RMT says walk-outs will cause \u2018significant disruption to the capital\u2019s transport network\u2019.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The two dates with little-to-no service on the DLR will be\u00a0Tuesday September 9 and Thursday September 11 2025.<\/p>\n<p>How long will the London train strikes last?<\/p>\n<p>The tube strikes will last a total of one week, while the DLR walk-outs will last five days.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Which\u00a0Underground lines be affected by the strikes?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Services on every\u00a0single line on the London Underground will be affected. Although different workers will be walking out on different days, the impact of the strikes will be pretty much the same throughout the week. Here\u2019s what to expect:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>&#13;<\/p>\n<li><strong>Sunday September 7<\/strong>: No service on Underground lines\u00a0<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li><strong>Monday September 8<\/strong>: No service on Underground lines\u00a0<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li><strong>Tuesday September 9<\/strong>: No service on Underground lines\u00a0<strong>OR<\/strong>\u00a0DLR all day<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li><strong>Wednesday September 10<\/strong>: No service on Underground lines<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li><strong>Thursday September 11<\/strong>: No service on Underground lines\u00a0<strong>OR<\/strong>\u00a0DLR all day<\/li>\n<p>&#13;\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/news\/how-to-get-around-london-during-next-weeks-tube-strikes-082925\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Find out how to travel around London during the strikes here.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Why are there new train strikes?<\/p>\n<p>The RMT says that the tube strikes are the result of London Underground management refusing to\u00a0engage seriously with demands on pay, fatigue management, extreme shift patterns and a reduction in the working week. It also says that management has failed\u00a0to honour previous agreements made with staff.<\/p>\n<p>DLR staff are striking over\u00a0pay and working conditions.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>What have union and rail bosses said about the strikes?<\/p>\n<p>RMT General Secretary Eddie Dempsey commented on the latest round of tube strikes: \u2018Our members are doing a fantastic job to keep our capital moving and work strenuous shift patterns to make sure Londoners get to their destinations around the clock. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey are not after a King&#8217;s ransom, but fatigue and extreme shift rotations are serious issues impacting on our members health and wellbeing- all of which have not been adequately addressed for years by LU management. <\/p>\n<p>\u2018Coupled with the fact there are outstanding issues around staff travel arrangements, an atmosphere of distrust has been created, where our members feel like no one is listening to them. <\/p>\n<p>\u2018RMT will continue to engage LU management with a view to seeking a revised offer in order to reach a negotiated settlement.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>A\u00a0TfL spokesperson said: \u2018We regularly meet with our trade unions to discuss any concerns that they may have, and we recently met with the RMT to discuss some specific points.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018We are committed to ensuring our colleagues are treated fairly and, as well as offering a 3.4 percent pay increase in our ongoing pay discussions, we have made progress on a number of commitments we have made previously.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018We welcome further engagement with our unions about fatigue and rostering across London Underground, but a reduction in the contractual 35-hour working week is neither practical nor affordable.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Will strikes affect the Eurostar?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Eurostar is not expected to be affected by any strike dates.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Will\u00a0the Elizabeth line be on strike?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>No Elizabeth line strikes are currently planned, and the Lizzy line is not usually included in tube strike action. The purple service may be much busier than usual during tube strikes.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Is the London Overground on strike?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No action is planned on Overground lines, though the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/news\/london-overground-new-names-111924\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">newly-colourful<\/a> network could be affected by the disruption of tube and\u00a0DLR strikes. If you plan on using the Piccadilly\u00a0line to get to Heathrow, you can always use the\u00a0Elizabeth\u00a0line or Heathrow Express.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Coaches frequently run from central and outer London areas by the likes of National Express.\u00a0All airports are also, obvs, all accessible by road \u2013 whether you\u2019d like to drive or get a taxi.
