Deadline day proved to be another source of frustration for Leeds United supporters as Daniel Farke\u2019s side failed to get a single player in, missing out on Harry Wilson at the last minute.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Daniel Farke made it clear he wanted new attacking signings<\/a> after the 0-0 draw against Newcastle on Saturday. Adam Underwood huffed and puffed, but nothing materialised and Wilson remains at Fulham<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A difficult situation for Wilson, who is said to have signed a deal sheet and was keen to join Leeds<\/a>. He is currently on Wales duty with Leeds players Joe Rodon, Dan James, Karl Darlow and loanee Charlie Crew.<\/p>\n

Another player who could have joined Leeds on the final day was Manor Solomon<\/a>. It appears that the Elland Road<\/a> promotion hero could have ended deadline day by playing for one of five different clubs.<\/p>\n

Waking up on deadline day as a Tottenham player, Solomon was travelling for National Team duty. But a return to Leeds was on the cards<\/a>, before The Whites chose against re-signing the former Fulham star.<\/p>\n

Leicester showed interest in luring him back to the Championship<\/a>, before Crystal Palace opened talks for Solomon<\/a>. A loan deal was on the cards, but nothing materialised before England\u2019s 7pm deadline.<\/p>\n

It looked as though Solomon would be staying at Tottenham on the final day, but Villarreal swooped to sign the winger before Spain\u2019s 11pm deadline. Speaking to Sports Walla<\/a>, Solomon said Palace were close.<\/p>\n

\u201cThose were the craziest 24 hours I\u2019ve had in football. I left London around six in the morning knowing that I was staying at Tottenham, and when I landed, chaos began until midnight,\u201d Solomon said. <\/p>\n

\u201cIn normal situations, you think more, analyze and talk to whoever you need to, but yesterday it was different and quick decisions had to be made. I kept saying that my goal was to stay in England.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was supposed to stay. I was already close to Crystal Palace, but if I\u2019m going to an amazing place like Villarreal, which plays in the Spanish league, which is the second best, a strong team, I\u2019m very happy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Villarreal\u2019s first Champions League games? Typically, Tottenham<\/p>\n

Solomon\u2019s move to Villarreal<\/a> was confirmed late in the day, after the Spanish window had shut. The Yellow Submarine have qualified for the Champions League after a brilliant fifth place last season.<\/p>\n

Ironically, their first game is against Tottenham. It is unclear, as things stand, if Solomon will be given the chance to play against his parent club. But it is easy to imagine that Spurs will prevent him doing so.<\/p>\n

Leeds were right to move on from Solomon.
