That’s really unusual,” he said in an interview with GB News. “William is stepping up, and Kate and Camilla are stepping up, which is good.”

Charles has been taking on a reduced number of royal engagements as compared to when he would before his cancer diagnosis. Palace aides have even emphasised that the monarch remains committed to his duties despite treatment.

“William stepping up is important because one day that will be his role,” Granted noted. “His grandmother had to step up when her father, George VI, died of cancer. And unfortunately, we know how that ended because obviously, he sadly died from cancer.”

Grant pointed out that Elizabeth had a chance to stand in for her father on many occasions so she knew what was expected.

Hence the major change in schedules and priorities for William have been taken into account, so that there is no hesitation for the next phase.

“It’s important that William does the same because what you don’t want, God forbid, is that something happens to the King, and William’s going, ‘What do I do?’ So it is good that he’s getting the experience.”

King’s office makes key change for William after Charles cancer update Prince William has been prepared by Buckingham…

[7708
7709,7730,7731,1760,7710,519
0":"post-394159","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-royals","8":"tag-british-royal-family","9":"tag-charles","10":"tag-charles-iii","11":"tag-king-charles","12":"tag-royal-families","13":"tag-royal-family
["GET
