Elon Musk<\/a>‘s estranged daughter has revealed she doesn’t ‘have a lot of money’ and lives with roommates after she cut ties with her father<\/a>, who is the richest man in the world.<\/p>\n

Vivian Wilson famously fell out with her father in 2022<\/a>, after she transitioned from male to female.<\/p>\n

While campaigning on behalf of Trump and other MAGA Republicans, Musk said Wilson was ‘killed by the woke<\/a> mind virus’, prompting his eldest child to blast him on social media and remind him she wasn’t dead<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Speaking to The Cut,<\/a> Wilson has shed light on her life in Los Angeles<\/a> without her famous father’s financial support.<\/p>\n

‘People assume I have a lot of money. I don’t have hundreds of thousands of dollars at my disposal,’ the 21-year-old aspiring model said.<\/p>\n

‘My mom is rich, right? But obviously the other one [Musk]\u2026 is unimaginable degrees of wealthy.’<\/p>\n

Instead, she lives with three roommates because it is ‘cheaper’ and is even contemplating whether it is financially viable to enroll in community college in the fall.<\/p>\n

‘College is expensive,’ she said. ‘I don’t have that kind of inheritance.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Wilson said she does not have any desire to be ‘superrich’ by her father’s standards, but appreciates that she has enough money to keep a roof over her head, afford food and still have ‘some expendable income’ left over, ‘which is much more fortunate than most people my age in Los Angeles,’ she added.<\/p>\n

By contrast, Musk’s net worth is estimated to be about $413billion.<\/a><\/p>\n

Wilson is the eldest of Musk’s 14 children, although she may have more half siblings that have not been made public.<\/p>\n

She referred to her father as a ‘pathetic man-child’ after she filed a petition to change her gender and change her surname in 2022, days after her 18th birthday.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the interview, Wilson opened up about her ADHD diagnosis and revealed she struggled to make friends at her ‘private high school filled with nepo babies.’<\/p>\n

Wilson was in the same graduating class as\u00a0Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s daughter Apple.<\/p>\n

‘It was exactly what you’d expect of a private high school filled with nepo babies,’ Wilson said. ‘People were unhinged, and I was not popular. I didn’t talk to anyone.’\u00a0<\/p>\n

She has made several public digs at Musk since he aligned himself with Trump and the MAGA movement.<\/p>\n

In 2024,\u00a0Musk made his strongest comments yet against her decision to transition, calling what happened to his family ‘evil.’<\/p>\n

‘I was essentially tricked into signing documents for one of my older [kids],’ he said.<\/p>\n

‘This was really before I had any understanding of what was going on, and we had COVID going on, so there was a lot of confusion. And I was told [Vivian] might commit suicide.’<\/p>\n

Vivian was born a twin with her brother Griffin in 2004 in California to Musk and his first wife Justine, whose maiden name Wilson she has now adopted.<\/a><\/p>\n

Vivian reportedly came out as transgender via text to her aunt when she was 16, but implored her to keep her gender identity from her father: ‘Hey, I’m transgender, and my name is now Jenna. Don’t tell my dad.’<\/p>\n

Musk said during an interview in 2020 that while his relationship with his daughter ‘may change… I have very good relationships with all the others [children].’<\/p>\n

‘Can’t win them all,’ he added.<\/p>\n

More recently, he told his biographer that his attempts at winning her over have not been successful.<\/p>\n
