Wrexham are now making a generous donation to the Sheffield Wednesday Supporters Trust.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sheffield Wednesday fans have been protesting owner Dejphon Chansiri during each fixture their side has played this season.<\/p>\n

However, Wrexham came under fire<\/a> after it was revealed that they would not allow Owls fans travelling for their fixture to bring banners into the Racecourse Ground, as they were considered to carry \u2018political connotations\u2019.<\/p>\n

But after pressure from fans and the Wrexham Supporters Trust, the Red Dragons released a statement on the protest issue<\/a>, confirming they would indeed be able to hang a banner in the away end of their match.<\/p>\n

Following that unwanted press, Rob Mac<\/a> announced a\u00a0gesture to the Sheffield Wednesday Supporters Trust<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It was stated that any profit made on the Dragons\u2019 gold shirts from last season during a specific period would be donated to the SWST, and the fee raised has now been confirmed.<\/p>\n

Wrexham drew 2-2 with Sheffield Wednesday<\/a> on Saturday, August 23.<\/p>\n

The home side went 2-0 up in the first half but were forced to settle for a point.<\/p>\n

In the aftermath of the result, there was some confusion regarding Wrexham\u2019s donation to Sheffield Wednesday Supporters Trust<\/a>.<\/p>\n

However, the WST have now confirmed the amount that the SWST will be receiving in a statement on X\/Twitter.<\/p>\n

They wrote: \u201cThe Trust are delighted to report that the @SWFCTrust are to receive \u00a337,500 from the profit of the Golden shirt sales. <\/p>\n

\u201cIn addition we are proud to announce that the Club is matching this amount with a separate donation to the Wrexham Maelor Hospital Diolch by fawr iawn I bawb!\u201d<\/p>\n

Will Sheffield Wednesday be taken over<\/p>\n

Wrexham<\/a> fans will be all too familiar with what a bad owner can do to a football club.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately for Sheffield Wednesday supporters, a potential takeover does not appear close.<\/p>\n

As per the BBC<\/a>, Chansiri has turned down two offers to sell the club in recent months.<\/p>\n

Those offers are understood to have been somewhere in the region of \u00a330m-\u00a340m.<\/p>\n

However, the Thai businessman is thought to want around \u00a3100m to part ways with Sheffield Wednesday.<\/p>\n
