For the past few years,\u00a0Stud Las Monjitas<\/strong>\u00a0has been steadily internationalizing its operation, which remains rooted in Argentina. Now, it has been confirmed that one of their top runners is set to head abroad in search of major victories.<\/p>\n

On September 11,\u00a0Natan<\/strong>, a dual Grade 1 winner, will embark on the long journey to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where he will join the stables of\u00a0Antonio Cintra<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Julio Olascoaga<\/strong>\u00a0to begin preparations for the\u00a0Meydan International Carnival<\/strong>, culminating with the\u00a0Dubai World Cup (G1)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was ready to run on Stars Day and then travel, but an unfortunate crack in a hoof capsule prevented him from participating. Aside from these recurring issues, he has had no other problems. At our training center, the ground gets hard, and that impact doesn\u2019t help. He\u2019s a mature, professional horse with the ability to succeed in Dubai. The 6-year-old son of\u00a0Se\u00f1or Candy<\/strong>\u00a0out of\u00a0Nuit (Orpen)<\/strong>\u00a0enjoyed a brilliant career in Argentina, notching three wins, including the\u00a0Gran Premio Jockey Club (G1)<\/strong>\u00a0in 2022\u2014in a memorable photo finish over\u00a0El Musical (Il Campione)<\/strong>\u2014and the\u00a0Gran Premio Estrellas Classic (G1)<\/strong>\u00a0in 2023, where he comfortably defeated stablemate\u00a0Jazz Seiver (Super Saver)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Bred by\u00a0Haras Carampangue<\/strong>,\u00a0Natan<\/strong>\u00a0also finished second in the\u00a0Polla de Potrillos (G1)<\/strong>,\u00a0Estrellas Juvenile (G1)<\/strong>, and\u00a0Gran Criterium (G1)<\/strong>; third in the\u00a0Gran Premio Latinoamericano (G1)<\/strong>; and fourth in the\u00a0Cl\u00e1sico Macon (L)<\/strong>. His most recent start came in the\u00a0Gran Premio Joaqu\u00edn S. de Anchorena (G1)<\/strong>\u00a0last December, where he returned from a year-long layoff to finish twelfth.<\/p>\n

Natan has proven versatility, performing strongly on both dirt and turf, and in Dubai he will target mile-and-up contests. He will be one of three Las Monjitas runners for the upcoming season, alongside\u00a0Satu (Catcher In the Rye, G1)<\/strong>\u00a0and the Brazilian\u00a0Nam Phrik (Hofburg)<\/strong>, who both campaigned last season with mixed results.<\/p>\n

Las Monjitas has several Argentina-bred runners competing abroad. Just last weekend,\u00a0Violeta M (John F Kennedy)<\/strong>debuted in the U.S., finishing fourth at Del Mar, while this Thursday\u00a0Happy Happy Day (Hi Happy)<\/strong>\u00a0will contest an optional claiming at Kentucky Downs. Additionally,\u00a0Queen Sienna (Fortify)<\/strong>\u00a0recently relocated north after a standout career in Peru. Violeta M and Queen Sienna are trained by Chilean\u00a0Marcelo Polanco<\/strong>, while Happy Happy Day is under Brazilian conditioner\u00a0Paulo Lobo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Las Monjitas\u2019 goal extends beyond sending runners abroad\u2014they aim to build teams with South American trainers and jockeys to strengthen the region\u2019s turf.<\/p>\n
