The model\u2019s source code, training data, model weights, and detailed development process are <a href=\"https:\/\/huggingface.co\/swiss-ai\/Apertus-8B-Instruct-2509\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">available<\/a> on the AI model platform HuggingFace.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">Apertus, which is Latin for \u201copen,\u201d was designed to \u201cset a new baseline for trustworthy and globally relevant open models,\u201d according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/swiss-ai\/apertus-tech-report\/blob\/main\/Apertus_Tech_Report.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">developers<\/a>. The model was trained on over 1,800 languages and comes in two sizes with either 8 billion or 70 billion parameters.
