Family-run Miss Drippy only launched back in January but enjoyed success, particularly on social media, with clips of the brand\u2019s creations gaining <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/on-tiktok\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">traction on TikTok.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Specialising in desserts and hot drinks,<a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/liverpool-restaurants\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\"> Miss Drippy<\/a> offered speciality coffees for \u00a31 and fan favourite sweet treats in a variety of options. The brand&#8217;s first location launched in Sheffield. Following a boom in Sheffield&#8217;s coffee scene, the business quickly branched into Liverpool shortly after.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">However, the sister site, which was on Seel Street, has today, Wednesday, September 3, announced its closure. However, <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">the ECHO<\/a> understands it hasn\u2019t opened for business for a number of weeks now.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Taking to Instagram to announce the news, the company said: \u201cA Big Thank You, Liverpool. Thank you, Liverpool &#8211; and hello, Manchester.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">The news comes after a <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/liverpool-city-centre\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Liverpool city centre<\/a> pub on the same street shut its doors after being a go-to place for many for 20 years. Seel Street\u2019s Peacock, which forms part of St Peter\u2019s Square, closed at the start of this month.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">However it is not all bad news. The<a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/liverpool-bars\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\"> space reopened weeks later as a <\/a>new concept known as the Crooked Crown. The cocktail venue, set in an exposed brick bar complete with armchairs and wooden benches, was a rite of passage for the<a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/news\/nostalgia\/life-liverpool-student-captured-rare-30946532\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\"> thousands of students who call Liverpool home.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/0_JS106833659.jpg\" alt=\"Inside Peacock on Seel Street\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>Inside Peacock on Seel Street(Image: James Maloney)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Throughout the years, the company hosted various student-themed nights, with the most recent seeing it team up with neighbouring venue Moloko.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Together, the two held Skint every Tuesday night. It was known for being a budget-friendly night out, offering cheap drinks and a lively atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">The<a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/liverpool-bars\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\"> space<\/a> will now be known as the Crooked Crown.
