Police have given an update after a man’s body was found<\/a> in a North Wales dock.<\/p>\n He was discovered in the early hours of Tuesday morning<\/a> in Victoria Dock waters, near Caernarfon Castle.<\/p>\n This triggered a major emergency response. Sections of the dock and nearby streets were cordoned off<\/a> to keep the public away from the waterside.<\/p>\n On Tuesday afternoon, North Wales Police confirmed that they were investigating the incident, and issued a further statement on Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n A police spokesperson said: “At this stage, enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the man’s death. We are working to determine how he came to be in the water.<\/p>\n “We understand this incident may cause concern within the local community, and we would like to reassure the public that an investigation is underway and there are no risks to the wider community.<\/p>\n “Further updates will be provided when appropriate. The coroner has been informed.”<\/p>\n Coastguard rescue crews from Bangor and Llandwrog also responded to Tuesday’s incident. The RNLI Beaumaris lifeboat was also sent to the scene, reports North Wales Live<\/a>.<\/p>\n By 1pm, emergency services had left, and surrounding roads were reopened to the public.<\/p>\n It comes just days after a woman sadly died on Bank Holiday Monday in Blackpool. The woman, understood to be in her 30s, was tragically pulled from the sea in Blackpool on August 25.<\/p>\n Police officers were spotted on the promenade near Gynn Square while HM Coastguard and Blackpool Beach Patrol<\/a> gathered next to the Hole in the Wall cafe on Lower walk.<\/p>\n Officers later confirmed a woman in her 30s was treated on-site and taken to hospital, where she later tragically died<\/a>. Her next of kin was informed and authorities said her death is not being treated as suspicious, with a file being sent to the coroner.<\/p>\n A police force spokesperson said at the time: “We were called at around 10am on August 25 after reports a woman had been pulled from the sea opposite the Belvedere Hotel in Blackpool.<\/p>\n “Despite the efforts of emergency services at the scene and in hospital, she sadly passed away. The woman, in her thirties, has now been identified and her family informed. Our thoughts are with her loved ones.
