{"id":396990,"date":"2025-09-04T10:25:11","date_gmt":"2025-09-04T10:25:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/396990\/"},"modified":"2025-09-04T10:25:11","modified_gmt":"2025-09-04T10:25:11","slug":"several-people-taken-to-hospital-after-london-bus-crash-london","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/396990\/","title":{"rendered":"Several people taken to hospital after London bus crash | London"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">A number of pedestrians have been taken to hospital after a bus mounted a pavement near Victoria station in central <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/uk\/london\" data-link-name=\"in body link\" data-component=\"auto-linked-tag\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">London<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">Several people, including the driver of the route 24 bus, are understood to have been injured in the crash on Victoria Street on Thursday morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">There are no reported fatalities, the Metropolitan police said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">No arrests have been made and an investigation has been launched, the force added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">Pictures from the scene show a number of emergency vehicles including police cars, ambulances and a fire engine. The road remains closed with all vehicles being diverted from the area, the Met said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">Emit Suker, 47, told PA news agency: \u201cIt [the bus] was coming from Westminster \u2013 it was going really fast and came off the road.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">\u201cThere were about 15, 16 people inside the bus. People were screaming \u2013 it was terrible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">Another witness told PA news agency: \u201cI heard a massive crash \u2013 came outside and there was a woman on the floor with loads of people around her. Lots of people from the gym had run out to help her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">A trail of diesel running down Allington Street has forced police to ban smoking in the area over fears of an incident.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">A London ambulance service spokesperson said: \u201cWe were called at 8.20am today to reports of a road traffic collision on Victoria Street, Westminster.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">\u201cWe have sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, advanced paramedics, a paramedic in a fast response car, a clinical team manager, an incident response officer and a command support vehicle.
