Endeavour star Roger Allam’s upcoming film The Choral has confirmed its first UK screening.<\/p>\n

Set in Yorkshire, the film follows a choral society who have a major competition coming up. Unfortunately for them, they are running low on members as many of them head off to war.<\/p>\n

They decide to bolster their ranks by allowing some unruly teens and a scandalous local doctor in.<\/p>\n

The BFI synopsis adds: “Brimming with humour and hope, [writer Alan] Bennett and [director] Nicholas Hytner’s latest triumph celebrates the power of community in the darkest of days.”<\/p>\n

Alongside Allam, the film also stars 28 Years Later’s Ralph Fiennes, Game of Thrones’ Mark Addy, New Tricks’ Alun Armstrong, and House of the Dragon’s Simon Russell Beale.<\/p>\n

The film will be making its UK premiere at the BFI London Film Festival<\/a>, with showings in the capital on Sunday 12 October<\/strong> at 2.30pm, Monday 13 October<\/strong> at 12.20pm, and Friday 17 October<\/strong> at 3.45pm.<\/p>\n

Tickets go on sale on Tuesday 16 September at 10am, but BFI Members can nab them earlier. Tickets start from \u00a310, but 16-25 year olds can sign up for a free scheme to buy \u00a36 tickets.<\/p>\n

Outside of London, 11 cities around the UK are hosting limited screenings<\/a> of films from the main festival as part of the BFI On Tour project.<\/p>\n

It looks like The Choral will be shown across the UK on Sunday 12 October, but if any of the selected cinemas are local to you, it’s worth checking the date and price.<\/p>\n
