During the press run, Duhamel shared how he relates to his character and takes on roles far away while raising a pre-teen and a toddler.

“I do. Unfortunately, not much shoots in Los Angeles anymore, so you’re sort of forced to go on the road,” he told our entertainment reporter Courtney Tezeno. “Luckily, I have a wife who’s more than willing to bring the circus along. So that’s good.”

In the action-comedy, Tommy is a hit man who flees from London to Los Angeles, and he must babysit his new mob boss’ son, Julian (Jeremy Ray Allen), for a mission while teaching him how to become a man.

Duhamel is a proud dad of boys: Axl, 12, whom he shares with his ex-wife Fergie, and his younger son, Shepherd, whom he welcomed in January 2024 with his wife, Audra Mari.

He explained how having his 12-year-old son in school can be a “challenge” when working on projects away from home.

“That becomes the hardest part is balancing where you’re going to shoot, how long you’re going to shoot, and how often you’re able to come home,” the ‘All My Children’ alum said. “It’s a huge priority for me, because you only get these kids once. Then they’re grown up and they’re gone. So, it’s a huge priority.”

Duhamel gushed about how Axl is “an amazing kid” and he’s already giving him life lessons that he can carry on into his adulthood.

“One thing that I really love doing is starting to teach him independence, starting to teach him things that he’s going to have to learn. And it starts with the basics, taking out the garbage, picking up your plate, filling up the dishwasher, things like that.”

When Duhamel is not on set, the “Ransom Canyon” star lives a quiet life away from Hollywood with his wife and kids at their North Dakota home, which he says is filled with farmhouse chores.

“The best thing is this cabin that we have back in North Dakota that makes him sort of step up and help, because there’s so much to do,” he said. “I really spent a lot of time teaching him the basicshow to change a tire, how to change a spark plug, how to do all kinds of different things that he wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity to do in Los Angeles.”

As for what he’s teaching his toddler, the 52-year-old actor jokes his “19-month-old is still pooping his pants so that he’s not there yet.”

To see Duhamel in action pulling double duty as a dad and leading man, go watch “London Calling” in theaters on September 19.

Whether he’s balancing his role as an actor or father, Josh Duhamel admits he has “dad guilt” while…

[7757
2420,137386,748,137383,393,4884,137384,37988,137381,257,137382,137385,16,15
0":"post-397894","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-london","8":"tag-parenting","9":"tag-axl","10":"tag-britain","11":"tag-dad-guilt","12":"tag-england","13":"tag-great-britain","14":"tag-hitman","15":"tag-independence","16":"tag-josh-duhamel","17":"tag-london","18":"tag-london-calling","19":"tag-pre-teen","20":"tag-uk","21":"tag-united-kingdom
["GET
