Rosie O\u2019Donnell<\/a> could never have imagined that decades after her initial conflict with business tycoon Donald Trump<\/a>, that he would be the President of America and threaten to revoke her US Citizenship. <\/p>\n

\u201cIf you grew up in New York, you knew he was a con man and a freaky guy with weird hair and strange looking family and wife,\u201d the entertainer tells R\u00f3is\u00edn Ingle on a live episode of The Women\u2019s Podcast recorded at The Electric Picnic<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe always wanted to come on my show and I never would do it,\u201d the former talk show host adds.<\/p>\n

Eventually she hosted him on a charity segment titled Sweep the Floor where a broom company would donate $1000 for every famous person who swept the floor as part of the show but she says \u201cI\u2019ve never had a conversation with the man\u201d.<\/p>\n

In spite of never having spoken to Trump, she was invited to his second wedding in 2005 to Marla Maples.<\/p>\n

The now legendary spat erupted when the 2006 winner of the then Trump sponsored beauty pageant Miss USA was embroiled in a scandal after a wild night of partying in New York. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe made her do a public apology on TV during a press conference to say that she was sorry for shaming the Trump name, and I said this looks like a pimp and his prostitute. That\u2019s what it looked like to me\u201d. <\/p>\n

\u201cI simply announced some facts about him that were not lies. They were facts that were easily accessible by anybody with a modem.\u201d she says.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe went batshit crazy,\u201d she says of the incident. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe went on every single talk show in the United States, The Today show, The Tonight Show, the tomorrow show, the Isn\u2019t Rosie a Fat Lesbian.com? Show\u201d. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe just wouldn\u2019t stop,\u201d explains O\u2019Donnell. <\/p>\n

Speaking on the Trump Presidency the comedian says \u201cThis is a con man, a criminal, a creep who has almost just succeeded in destroying a very vibrant democracy\u201d.<\/p>\n

Trump\u2019s reelection as President in 2024 was the reason behind O\u2019Donnell\u2019s decision to relocate to Ireland. <\/p>\n

\u201cI got on the plane on the 15th of January and I haven\u2019t looked back. It\u2019s been an amazing experience and I felt very taken care of and understood and appreciated in this country\u201d.<\/p>\n

O\u2019Donnell also touches on the events in Gaza, saying that \u201cAfter October 7th anyone who spoke up against what was happening to the civilians in Gaza was called anti-Semitic and that happened to me as well\u201d. <\/p>\n

Describing it as a \u201cgenocide\u201d and Israel as \u201can apartheid state\u201d the actor said that stating these \u201cfacts\u201d were what got \u201cKneecap in trouble\u201d.<\/p>\n

The chat show host also discusses feeling \u201cashamed\u201d of her body for 40 years. <\/p>\n

\u201cI had succeeded in other areas. But why wasn\u2019t I able to do this [lose weight]?\u201d <\/p>\n

The actor who uses Mounjaro to treat insulin resistance said: \u201cWhen I started taking this medication, all of a sudden I went, \u2018Oh my God, this is how a normal, non-obese person feels\u2019. Where you can look at a bag of cookies and not take one\u201d.<\/p>\n

In this wide-ranging conversation O\u2019Donnell also discusses turning down drinks with Prince, how she\u2019s stayed friends with Madonna for 30 years, being an ardent feminist, and losing her mother at an early age. <\/p>\n
