Image: Rew \/ XPB Images<\/p>\n<p>The retired F1 star dropped the post in the wake of <a href=\"https:\/\/speedcafe.com\/ford-racing-news-new-name-performance-supercars-mustang-nascar-f1-le-mans-wrc-dakar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">yesterday\u2019s news that the Blue Oval is undergoing a global rebrand of its motorsport programs from Ford Performance to Ford Racing<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He posted two photos of himself leaning on a Ford Bronco Raptor carrying the new Ford Racing logo, along with the cryptic caption, \u201cmore around the corner\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Ricciardo has closed the door on his F1 career and largely kept out of the limelight since his last start, the Singapore Grand Prix in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Ford Racing, however, is an all-encompassing brand that will include all global motorsport activities from F1 to NASCAR, Hypercar, Supercars and the Dakar and US off-road programs.<\/p>\n<p>Like Ford Performance, it will also cover Ford\u2019s high-performance road-going vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>Ricciardo does have previous links to Ford, forged when the brand announced its F1 collaboration with Red Bull Racing more than two years ago.<\/p>\n<p>That led to Ricciardo, RBR\u2019s reserve driver at the time, <a href=\"https:\/\/speedcafe.com\/ricciardo-drives-ford-mustang-supercar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">driving a Gen2 Ford Mustang Supercar in Detroit as part of a Ford promotion in February 2023<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" style=\"background: #FFF; border: 0; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: 0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width: 540px; min-width: 326px; padding: 0; width: calc(100% - 2px);\" data-instgrm-captioned=\"\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DOLtfbGCVLz\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\">\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<script async src=\"\/\/www.instagram.com\/embed.js\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Daniel Ricciardo has hinted at a tie-up with Ford.
