Aston Villa will play in UEFA competition again this season with the Europa League begins later this month\"AA general view inside Villa Park<\/p>\n

Aston Villa have complied with transfer restrictions imposed on them by UEFA after breaching financial rules.<\/p>\n

UEFA fined Villa<\/a> the sum of \u00a39.5 million in July for failing to comply with rules which allow clubs to lose no more than \u00a360m over a three-year period and not spend more than 80 percent of revenue on wages. A further \u00a312.9m fine was conditional of compliance according to Sky Sports.<\/a><\/p>\n

Villa were told to post a positive transfer balance by the end of the summer transfer window and that was achieved by minimal spending and the sale of homegrown midfielder Jacob Ramsey to Newcastle United for a profit of \u00a339m.<\/p>\n

Villa could have been prevented from registering new signings Harvey Elliott, Jadon Sancho, Victor Lindelof, Evan Guessand and Marco Bizot for this season\u2019s Europa League<\/a> had they not met UEFA\u2019s demands, but all five were included on the squad list submitted on Wednesday.<\/a><\/p>\n

In a statement released to Sky Sports, UEFA said: \u201cAston Villa had a transfer restriction included in their settlement. The List A submitted to UEFA fully complies with all related conditions.\u201d<\/p>\n

Villa begin their European campaign at home to Bologna on September 25.<\/p>\n
