We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.<\/p>\n<p><strong class=\"sc-1uza6dc-1 gunhQQ\">Your support makes all the difference.<\/strong>Read more<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/topic\/radiohead\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Radiohead<\/a> have announced their first tour in seven years after<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/arts-entertainment\/music\/news\/radiohead-tour-2025-london-copenhagen-b2818812.html\"> mysterious flyers reportedly appeared in several European cities this week<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Lead singer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/topic\/thom-yorke\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Thom Yorke<\/a> and the band will tour through Europe from November to December, with four nights each in London, Berlin, Madrid, Bologna, and Copenhagen. <\/p>\n<p>In a message to fans, the band\u2019s drummer Philip Selway said: \u201cLast year, we got together to rehearse, just for the hell of it. After a seven year pause, it felt really good to play the songs again and reconnect with a musical identity that has become lodged deep inside all five of us.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt also made us want to play some shows together, so we hope you can make it to one of the upcoming dates. For now, it will just be these ones but who knows where this will all lead.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hopeful fans will have to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/radiohead.com\/\">pre-register on Radiohead\u2019s website<\/a> to be in with a chance of buying tickets, a move intended to \u201creduce competition from bots and ticket touts\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Registration opens at 10am BST on Friday 5 September and will close 72 hours later at 10pm BST on Sunday 7 September. Fans will find out whether they have received an unlock code by 10pm on Wednesday 10 September.<\/p>\n<p>Each person will be able to buy a maximum of four tickets for one show. The greater share of tickets will be apportioned to fans living nearer the shows, which the band illustrated on a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/radiohead.com\/#\">map<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/d22e006af11e4454dc39adb47bcca339Y29udGVudHNlYXJjaGFwaSwxNzI3NDIxMDY0-2.31974642.jpg\"  loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Radiohead will tour for the first time in seven years, the band has announced\" class=\"sc-1mc30lb-0 ggpMaE inline-gallery-btn\"\/><\/p>\n<p>open image in gallery<\/p>\n<p>Radiohead will tour for the first time in seven years, the band has announced (PA)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere will be allocations for those who wish to travel inside Europe and for those outside Europe,\u201d the band said. \u201cOur aim is to distribute tickets according to demand in a fair and geographically convenient way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The band also revealed that UK ticket prices will include a \u00a31 levy to support the Live Trust initiative to raise funds for struggling grassroots venues. In Europe, \u20ac1 per ticket will go to M\u00e9decins Sans Fronti\u00e8res, with Radiohead matching the total raised.<\/p>\n<p>Radiohead\u2019s last round of live performances wrapped in 2018, after two years on the road with their album A Moon Shaped Pool. <\/p>\n<p>The seven-year gap is the longest of the band\u2019s career, with <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/arts-entertainment\/music\/reviews\/thom-yorke-review-anima-solo-album-tracklist-netflix-film-radiohead-a8977656.html#:~:text=On%20ANIMA%2C%20the%20Radiohead%20frontman&#039;s,of%202014&#039;s%20Tomorrow&#039;s%20Modern%20Boxes.\">Yorke releasing his solo album Anima<\/a> in 2019 and also forming<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/arts-entertainment\/music\/reviews\/the-smile-cutouts-thom-yorke-radiohead-b2623264.html\"> The Smile, his band with Radiohead bandmate Jonny Greenwood <\/a>and drummer Tom Skinner.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, lead guitarist Jonny Greenwood has scored several films, including Spencer, The Power of the Dog, and Liquorice Pizza, as well as Paul Thomas Anderson\u2019s new film, One Battle After Another.<\/p>\n<p>Yorke has also scored two films since Radiohead\u2019s last tour, Suspiria and Confidenza, as well as making his debut as a classical composer and adapting Radiohead\u2019s Hail to the Thief for a Hamlet production in Manchester.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/GettyImages-81693702.jpeg\"  loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Radiohead\u2019s original members, including Thom Yorke (left) and Jonny Greenwood (right) have been active with their respective solo endeavours since the band\u2019s last tour\" class=\"sc-1mc30lb-0 ggpMaE inline-gallery-btn\"\/><\/p>\n<p>open image in gallery<\/p>\n<p>Radiohead\u2019s original members, including Thom Yorke (left) and Jonny Greenwood (right) have been active with their respective solo endeavours since the band\u2019s last tour (Getty)<\/p>\n<p>In 2017, midway through their last tour, Radiohead received backlash for playing in Tel Aviv, Israel, despite calls to cancel the performance. <\/p>\n<p>The band faced criticism from director <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/voices\/radiohead-israel-palestine-boycott-bds-thom-yorke-ken-loach-meet-discuss-it-a7835291.html\">Ken Loach, who accused the band of ignoring \u201chuman rights violations\u201d in the region<\/a>, as well as the pro-Palestine campaign by the BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) movement.<\/p>\n<p>In May this year, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/arts-entertainment\/music\/news\/thom-yorke-gaza-israel-radiohead-b2761180.html\">Yorke branded Israel\u2019s prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu an \u201cextremist\u201d <\/a>who \u201cneeds to be stopped\u201d in a lengthy statement addressing the war on Gaza.<\/p>\n<p>Hopes for a new Radiohead tour <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/arts-entertainment\/music\/news\/radiohead-tour-album-2025-thom-york-the-smile-b2610837.html\">were sparked back in September, <\/a>when bassist Colin Greenwood revealed that the band had got together in a rehearsal studio a few months prior.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe did some rehearsals about two months ago in London, just to play the old songs,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd it was really fun, had a really good time.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>He did not specify which songs the band rehearsed, but fans have speculated that favourites such as \u201cParanoid Android\u201d, \u201cNo Surprises\u201d and \u201cKarma Police\u201d could have been among them.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, guitarist Ed O\u2019Brien pushed back against speculation that the band might be over altogether, describing them as an \u201congoing\u201d group who checked in regularly with one another.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets to the new Radiohead tour are available only via registration on <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/nastylittleman.us5.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=13daec772857eef90d4e2c19a&amp;id=695ecc9c13&amp;e=220c360b64\">Radiohead\u2019s website<\/a>, which opens at 10am UK time on Friday (5 September).
