{"id":399741,"date":"2025-09-05T10:32:13","date_gmt":"2025-09-05T10:32:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/399741\/"},"modified":"2025-09-05T10:32:13","modified_gmt":"2025-09-05T10:32:13","slug":"tube-strikes-full-list-of-dates-and-lines-affected-in-september-walkout-uk-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/399741\/","title":{"rendered":"Tube strikes: Full list of dates and lines affected in September walkout | UK News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Londoners face almost a week of travel disruption when Underground workers go on strike next week.<\/p>\n<p>There will be limited or no services for several days, and those services that are still running are expected to be busier than usual.<\/p>\n<p>Members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport union (RMT) voted overwhelmingly for strike action after nine months of negotiations failed to resolve a long-running dispute over pay and conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Further talks have also failed to end in an agreement, meaning industrial action is set to cause chaos in the capital.<\/p>\n<p>Here is all you need to know.<\/p>\n<p><strong>When are strikes planned?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Strikes are planned from <strong>midnight on Sunday 7 September<\/strong><strong> <\/strong>to<strong> 11.59pm on Thursday 11 September.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is separate planned industrial action on 5 and 6 September, but this is not expected to cause disruption on Transport for London (TfL) services.<\/p>\n<p>The other days, however, will see delays across <strong>every underground line and the Docklands Light Railway (DLR)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>          <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"sdc-article-image__item\" loading=\"lazy\" intrinsicsize=\"768x432\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/skynews-tube-underground-station_6914309.jpg\"   alt=\"Tube services will be limited for five working days next week. File pic: PA<\/p>\n<p><strong>What&#8217;s running &#8211; and what&#8217;s not?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday 7 September:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Disruption across the entire Tube network, with limited services running<br \/>\u2022 Those that are running will finish early, with TfL encouraging people to finish journeys by 6pm<br \/>\u2022 The DLR will be running a normal service<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday 8 September:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tube<br \/>\u2022 Little to no service running across the entire Tube network<br \/>\u2022 No service before 8am or after 6pm<\/p>\n<p>DLR<br \/>\u2022 Full service, but stations shared with the Tube network may face disruption<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday 9 September:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tube<br \/>\u2022 Little to no service running across the entire Tube network<br \/>\u2022 No service before 8am or after 6pm<\/p>\n<p>DLR<br \/>\u2022 No service on the entire network<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday 9 September:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tube<br \/>\u2022 Little to no service running across the entire Tube network<br \/>\u2022 No service before 8am or after 6pm<\/p>\n<p>DLR<br \/>\u2022 Full service, but stations shared with the Tube network may face disruption<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday 11 September:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tube<br \/>\u2022 Little to no service running across the entire Tube network<br \/>\u2022 No service before 8am or after 6pm<\/p>\n<p>DLR<br \/>\u2022 No service on the entire network<\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday 12 September:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tube<br \/>\u2022 No service before 8am<br \/>\u2022 Service will return to normal on all lines by late morning<\/p>\n<p>DLR<br \/>\u2022 Normal service<\/p>\n<p><strong>What about the Elizabeth Line and Overground?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Elizabeth Line, London Overground and trams will be running on strike days. Pic: iStock<\/p>\n<p>From <strong>Monday 8 <\/strong>and<strong> Wednesday 10 September<\/strong>, the Elizabeth line will <strong>not stop<\/strong> at the following stations before 7.30am and after 10.30pm:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Liverpool Street<br \/>\u2022 Farringdon<br \/>\u2022 Tottenham Court Road<\/p>\n<p>On <strong>Tuesday 9 <\/strong>and<strong> Thursday 11 September<\/strong>, trains will not stop at the same stations <strong>before 8am<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to get around during the Tube strike<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As always during industrial action, TfL urges commuters to plan ahead and allow extra time for their journeys.<\/p>\n<p>To do this, use TfL&#8217;s <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/tfl.gov.uk\/plan-a-journey\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">journey planner<\/a><\/strong>, or apps including City Mapper.<\/p>\n<p>Cycling or walking is also recommended by TfL, with Santander, Lime and Forest bikes available to hire across the capital, as well as electric scooters in some London boroughs.<\/p>\n<p>          <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"sdc-article-image__item\" loading=\"lazy\" intrinsicsize=\"768x432\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/skynews-e-bike-lime-forest_7010120.jpg\"   alt=\"TfL recommends commuters use bikes or walk round London during strikes.
