Leeds United Women return to FA WNL Cup Group U action this weekend, travelling to the North East to face Norton & Stockton Ancients.<\/p>\n
Following a narrow defeat to Cheadle Town on Sunday, the Whites will be looking for an instant bounce-back.<\/p>\n
In Group U previously, Leeds defeated division-above Halifax 1-0, courtesy of a moment of brilliance from Darcie Greene.<\/p>\n
Ahead of the game, Whites midfielder Alice Hughes spoke on the start to the season, expectations for the cup, and the importance of bouncing back following Cheadle.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve had quite a few new additions, so I think we\u2019re still finding our feet in that sense,\u201d Hughes comments on the start to the campaign. \u201cThere\u2019s a lot of positives we can take from the first games, but I think there\u2019s definitely a lot of areas to improve on.\u201d<\/p>\n
On the Cheadle game: \u201cIt\u2019s about using the disappointment as a group, it\u2019s not just the day off, we sit and reflect and it carries on into the week in terms of analysis and pushing on to the next week ahead.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s about using the frustration to push on and try to make sure we correct anything that went wrong, on the pitch against Norton.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe always know it\u2019s a tough game against Norton, but we know their areas of strength, and we know ours as well, it\u2019s just about focusing on us and making sure we do all the right things in terms of preparation.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe aim for us is to win every single game we play, there\u2019s no doubt about that.<\/p>\n
