Buckingham Palace announces death of key royal in heartbreaking statement<\/p>\n

A key member of the royal family passed away, Buckingham Palace confirmed in a new statement. <\/p>\n

Katharine, the Duchess of Kent, died at the age of 92. The key royal figure was surrounded by her family and loved ones at the time of her demise. <\/p>\n

A statement released by King Charles’ office on Friday reads, “It is with deep sorrow that Buckingham Palace announces the death of Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Kent.”<\/p>\n

“Her Royal Highness passed away peacefully last night at Kensington Palace, surrounded by her family.”<\/p>\n

“The King and Queen and all Members of The Royal Family join The Duke of Kent, his children and grandchildren in mourning their loss and remembering fondly The Duchess’s life-long devotion to all the organisations with which she was associated, her passion for music and her empathy for young people.”<\/p>\n

For the unversed, Katharine was married to the Duke of Kent, who is the cousin of the late Queen Elizabeth II.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The well-wishers of the royal family expressed their sorrow over the Duchess of Kent’s death. They sent warm wishes to the royal family on the sombre occasion. <\/p>\n
