{"id":400456,"date":"2025-09-05T16:52:14","date_gmt":"2025-09-05T16:52:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/400456\/"},"modified":"2025-09-05T16:52:14","modified_gmt":"2025-09-05T16:52:14","slug":"huge-60ft-high-structure-could-be-built-in-old-trafford","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/400456\/","title":{"rendered":"Huge 60ft-high structure could be built in Old Trafford"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Planners have limited powers to prevent digital poles<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/0_Addison-Crescent.jpg\" loading=\"eager\"  \/>The site in Addison Crescent where a 60ft mast could be erected<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Plans have been submitted to erect a 60ft-high telecoms mast and base station on a grass verge in Old <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/all-about\/trafford\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Trafford<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Digital company Cornerstone has tabled the proposal for the land at Addison Crescent, close to its junction with Kings Road.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">The application has appeared on Trafford council\u2019s planning portal and is a notification under general permitted development regulations which cover such mast if they are below 97ft in height.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\"><strong class=\"Strong_strong__e2x35\"><strong class=\"Strong_strong__e2x35\">To see planning applications; traffic and road diversions and layout changes; and more, visit the Public Notices Portal <\/strong><a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/publicnoticeportal.uk\/\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong class=\"Strong_strong__e2x35\">HERE<\/strong><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Cornerstone\u2019s mast will support six antennas and a dish together with two ground-based equipment cabinets.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">The company describes itself as \u2018the UK\u2019s leading mobile infrastructure services company\u2019. It manages and owns 20,000 such sites across the country.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Although such developments are \u2018permitted development\u2019, plans may still require prior approval from local planning authorities.
