\n\tRoyal watchers focus on King Charles<\/a> III\u2019s feud with Prince Harry<\/a>, but maybe they should be looking more carefully at the monarch\u2019s relationship<\/a> with Prince William<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt seems that the king and the heir aren\u2019t exactly getting along, according to the Daily Beast<\/a>. They are reportedly at odds over modernizing the monarchy, the ongoing mess<\/a> with Prince Andrew, and, of course, a reconciliation with Prince Harry. Charles is open to healing the rift with his youngest son, while the Prince of Wales is adamantly opposed to the idea.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWilliam always said, \u2018Just cut Andrew off completely. It\u2019s not appropriate to have an alleged sex offender breaking bread with the royal family<\/a>.\u2019 Charles was so desperate to be seen as embodying the spirit of Christian forgiveness that he let Andrew back in,\u201d said a palace insider. \u201cWilliam was right about Andrew<\/a>, and he is right about Harry. Charles is weak. William is anything but weak.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tEven though the Prince of Wales believes that Charles meeting with Harry while he\u2019s in the U.K. next week is a \u201cterrible, terrible idea,\u201d he will still respect his father\u2019s wishes. It probably won\u2019t reconcile the brothers,<\/a> though.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWilliam is done with Harry. When he becomes King, everybody thinks the divide will become even wider,\u201d a royal source told Us Weekly<\/a> in August.<\/p>\n

\n\tStill, Harry is pushing to spend time with his father, who continues to battle cancer. \u201cThere\u2019s no point in continuing to fight anymore,\u201d the Duke of Sussex told the BBC<\/a> in May, \u201cI don\u2019t know how much longer my father has.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tEven royal experts are pushing for the end of the family feud because, honestly, everyone is exhausted by the topic. Royal expert Hugo Vickers shared his thoughts with Page Six<\/a> about the royal peace talks<\/a> that took place in July between the Sussexes\u2019 chief communications officer, Meredith Maines, and their PR representative in the U.K., Liam Maguire, with the monarch\u2019s communications secretary, Tobyn Andreae.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201c[The staff] may well have just been discussing routine things, which is more than likely, but at some point you have got to reconcile,\u201d he said. \u201cI don\u2019t think we\u2019ll see Harry returning to royal duties, but on a personal level, it will be good if he\u2019s able to get on terms with his father.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tEven The Mail on Sunday,<\/a> a noted Prince Harry critic, is ready for Charles to extend the olive branch. \u201cEveryone just wants to move on and move forward now. It was finally the right time for the two sides to talk,\u201d a source said.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe only person left to convince is Prince William, who seems to be sticking with his stubborn perspective.<\/p>\n
