Charlie Sheen opens up about his sexual experiences with men for the first time in his upcoming Netflix documentary, \u201caka Charlie Sheen<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI flipped the menu over,\u201d he says about his decision to try something new after years of having sex with women, per People<\/a> on Friday. <\/p>\n

The \u201cPlatoon\u201d star, 60, then goes on to call his decision to talk about his past encounters with men \u201cliberating.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s f\u2014ing liberating\u2026 [to] just talk about stuff. It\u2019s like a train didn\u2019t come through the side of the restaurant. A f\u2014ing piano didn\u2019t fall out of the sky. No one ran into the room and shot me,\u201d the actor explains.<\/p>\n

Sheen went on to divulge that his encounters with men began when he was smoking crack.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s what started it,\u201d he says.\u201dThat\u2019s where it was born, or sparked. And in whatever chunks of time that I was off the pipe, trying to navigate that, trying to come to terms with it \u2014 \u2018Where did that come from?\u2026 Why did that happen? \u2014 and then just finally being like, \u2018So what?\u2019 So what? Some of it was weird. A lot of it was f\u2014ing fun, and life goes on.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, following his drug-fueled hook-ups, the \u201cTwo and a Half Men\u201d alum contracted HIV<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He was then forced to go public with his diagnosis in 2015 during an interview with the \u201cToday\u201d show<\/a> after being diagnosed four years prior.<\/p>\n

Sheen notes that he decided to disclose his status because he had been blackmailed by ex-girlfriends, who estimated that he\u2019d shelled out millions of dollars to keep it private.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Sheen also writes about his addictions and sex life in his memoir, \u201cThe Book of Sheen.\u201d AP<\/p>\n

Sheen opens up about his past sexual encounters, as well as his struggles with drugs, in his upcoming memoir, \u201cThe Book of Sheen,\u201d <\/a>as well as his Netflix documentary.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Book of Sheen\u201d is set to come out on Sept. 9, while\u00a0\u201caka Charlie Sheen\u201d\u00a0premieres on Sept. 10.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, Sheen attended the premiere of his documentary, accompanied by his ex-wife Denise Richards<\/a>. This was the first time the former couple reunited on a red carpet since February 2005.<\/p>\n
