A child was amongst three people taken to hospital following a car crash<\/a> in Paisley this afternoon.<\/p>\n Emergency services were called to the junction of Maxwellton Street and George Street around 1.20pm when a blue Skoda collided with a white Peugeot.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service told the Paisley Daily Express:<\/a> \u201cWe received a call to attend an incident on George Street in Paisley<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cWe dispatched two ambulances, a critical care paramedic and a rapid response vehicle to the scene, with our first resource arriving within one minute. We transported three patients to hospital, including a child.\u201d<\/p>\n George Street, Maxwellton Street and Canal Street were closed while emergency services dealt with the incident.<\/p>\n A Police Scotland spokesperson said the incident \u201ccaused significant disruption within Paisley\u201d.<\/p>\n They added: \u201cEmergency services attended and two women and a child were taken to hospital as a precaution.<\/p>\n \u201cA 31-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a road traffic offence and enquiries are ongoing.\u201d<\/p>\n![\"Emergency](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/0_DNP_PDE_050925rta_06JPG.jpg\")
