{"id":401716,"date":"2025-09-06T04:17:10","date_gmt":"2025-09-06T04:17:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/401716\/"},"modified":"2025-09-06T04:17:10","modified_gmt":"2025-09-06T04:17:10","slug":"liam-lawson-issues-racing-bulls-clear-instruction-after-tough-monza-verdict","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/401716\/","title":{"rendered":"Liam Lawson issues Racing Bulls clear instruction after &#8216;tough&#8217; Monza verdict"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Liam Lawson has conceded Racing Bulls endured a \u201ctough\u201d day at Monza as he called on the team to make improvements overnight.<\/p>\n<p>The New Zealander ended the second practice session in 17th place as he struggled for pace around the high-speed Italian track.<\/p>\n<p>Team-mate Isack Hadjar, fresh from his maiden podium last weekend at Zandvoort, narrowly missed out on finishing inside the top 10 at the end of FP2.<\/p>\n<p>Lawson was lacking half a second to his team-mate as he outlined his hope for improved performance on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was tough on our side,\u201d Lawson said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s very small margins here, so we\u2019re trying to extract everything out of the car.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe missed a little bit [on Friday]. Better we do it today, learn from it and try put ourselves in the best position for Saturday. But there\u2019s work to do.<\/p>\n<p>Expanding on where he is struggling for pace, Lawson explained: \u201cJust balance, trying to change things from FP1 to FP2.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou expect it to go in a certain way and it goes the other way. Trying to get on top of things and optimise the car for qualifying.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When asked if the car has the potential to fight for Q3, Lawson replied: \u201cI hope so.
