The 2025 BMW PGA Championship will boast one of it\u2019s best ever fields for the 71st edition of the DP World Tour\u2019s showpiece event.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wentworth Club in Surrey will host the Rolex Series event once again and plenty of star names will be on show.<\/p>\n

Rory McIlroy<\/a> and Jon Rahm headline the action as Luke Donald looks to retune his plans for the upcoming Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Billy Horschel won this event last year and the battle for the trophy should be thrilling again this September.<\/p>\n

The 2025 Race to Dubai is reaching his conclusion and the BMW PGA Championship is always a key stop in deciding the overall DP World Tour champion.<\/p>\n

BMW PGA Championship: Date and how to follow<\/p>\n

The 2025 BMW PGA Championship\u00a0 is taking place from Thursday, September 11 to Sunday, September 14<\/p>\n

It is being held on the West Course at Wentworth, the permanent location of this tournament since 1984.<\/p>\n

The course, famous for its back-to-back par 5 finish, is a par 72 and will play to a maximum yardage of 7,267.<\/p>\n

The action will get up and running at 7:30am UK time each day.<\/p>\n

Sky Sports Golf will broadcast the live action throughout the tournament with their coverage starting at 8:30am each day.<\/p>\n

BMW PGA Championship: Field and leaderboard<\/p>\n

As a flagship event on the DP World Tour, the field at Wentworth is packed with quality.<\/p>\n

Most of Europe\u2019s Ryder Cup team will be in action including McIlroy, Rahm, Tyrrell Hatton, Tommy Fleetwood and Shane Lowry<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Viktor Hovland and Ludvig Aberg are also in the field with only Sepp Straka not featuring due to personal reasons.<\/p>\n

USA stars Brooks Koepka<\/a> and Patrick Reed will be teeing it up as will other big names such as Min Woo Lee, Ryan Fox, Si Woo Kim, Joaquin Niemann, Adam Scott, Corey Conners and Hideki Matsuyama.<\/p>\n

BMW PGA Championship: What has been said?<\/p>\n

McIlroy and Lowry have both won at Wentworth in the past and are excited to try and claim the prestigious trophy once again.<\/p>\n

McIlroy said: \u201cI\u2019m looking forward to returning to Wentworth for the BMW PGA Championship.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve had some great results on the West Course in the past and it was a thrill being back in contention again last year.<\/p>\n

The crowds were out in force and I would love the chance to go one better in 2025.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lowry added: \u201cI\u2019ve made no secret of the fact that the BMW PGA Championship is an event I always look forward to playing in.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven before my win a few years ago, it was a tournament I always marked on my calendar and it has really gone from strength to strength as a Rolex Series event.<\/p>\n
