Autumn has no shortage of traditions: digging out cosy jumpers from your wardrobe, drinking pumpkin-spiced lattes, snuggling up on the sofa to watch Great British Bake Off, to name but a few.<\/p>\n
Going for a walk<\/a> and taking in the beautiful colours of changing leaves on the trees is another one. There\u2019s something special about feeling the crunch of leaves underfoot and noticing how the light changes at this time of the year.<\/p>\n On the outskirts of Oldham<\/a> is Tandle Hill Country Park and it\u2019s one of the best places for an autumn walk.<\/p>\n Covering an area of around 48 hectares, it features a mixture of woodland grassland, with towering trees which begin to transform from vivid green to burning read as the season progresses.<\/p>\n Stay connected with our City Life newsletter here<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n The park has received dozens of five star reviews online, with many praising how beautiful it is all year round – but it\u2019s autumn when it impresses people the most.<\/p>\n One visitor Natalie wrote on Tripadvisor: \u201cLovely here in Autumn when all the trees\u2019 leaves are turning\u201d while another said: \u201cIt is spectacular in autumn because of the colour of the leaves. You can spend as little or as much time as you like but you will want to return in all seasons.\u201d<\/p>\n Tandle Hill Country Park actually holds claim to being Oldham\u2019s oldest and feels a world away from the surrounding urban sprawl.<\/p>\n The woodland is criss-crossed with dozens of trails and you could spend hours exploring it all.
