Friday, 5 September, was a successful day for many of our Bianconeri away on duty for their respective national teams. Italy, France and Canada all claiming wins.<\/p>\n
In non-competitive action, Jonathan David was on target for Canada as they beat Romania.<\/p>\n
There were plenty of competitive games as well, so let\u2019s take a look at how it all went.<\/p>\n
\n ITALY START WITH A WIN UNDER GATTUSO<\/p>\n
Gennaro Gattuso\u2019s time in charge of Italy began with a big win, as the Azzurri defeated Estonia 5-0 in Bergamo. Although they had started slow, a stellar second half saw Italy score five times through Moise Kean, Mateo Retegui (two), Giacomo Raspadori and Alessandro Bastoni.<\/p>\n
Andrea Cambiaso and Manuel Locatelli came on in the second half, and Cambiaso provided the assist for the fourth goal of the evening.<\/p>\n
Federico Gatti was an unused substitute.<\/p>\n
\n FRANCE WIN WITH A CLEAN SHEET<\/p>\n
Didier Deschamps\u2019 France were also celebrating, scoring a goal in each half to beat Ukraine 2-0 with goals from Michael Olise and Kylian Mbappe.<\/p>\n
Khephren Thuram was on the bench and did not get on.<\/p>\n
\n MONTENEGRO FALL AT HOME<\/p>\n
Vasilije Adzic, like Thuram and Gatti, was named on the bench for Montenegro. He came on for the final 20 minutes, but couldn\u2019t prevent his side from losing 2-0 to Czechia.<\/p>\n
\n SWEDEN U21s CELEBRATING<\/p>\n
