Manchester United want to sign a new striker this summer and may have a chance to sign a Bundesliga star.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The sooner this Premier League<\/a> campaign is over, the better.<\/p>\n

Manchester United lost 1-0 to Wolverhampton Wanderers<\/a> on Sunday, drawing yet another blank in front of goal.<\/p>\n

United have a major problem with scoring goals, finding the net just once in the last four Premier League games.<\/p>\n

Investing in new attacking talent is paramount and reports suggest that United are closing in on Matheus Cunha<\/a>, with personal terms being discussed for the Wolverhampton Wanderers star.<\/p>\n

Cunha would likely play as a number 10 under Ruben Amorim<\/a>, meaning a centre forward could still be snapped up.<\/p>\n

One name who may yet be in the mix is Borussia Dortmund star Serhou Guirassy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Reports in December 2023 suggested that United had spoken to Guirassy\u2019s representatives<\/a> ahead of a potential move from Stuttgart.<\/p>\n

After scoring 44 goals in 58 games for Stuttgart, Guirassy ended up joining Dortmund \u2013 and the goals have continued to flow.<\/p>\n

Guirassy has smashed 29 goals in 41 games this season, including 13 goals in just 14 Champions League games.<\/p>\n

Guirassy has a \u00a360million release clause<\/a> in his Dortmund deal, far beyond what they paid to sign him less than a year ago.<\/p>\n

Now, Sky Germany\u2019s Patrick Berger reports that only a handful of clubs can actually activate that clause in Guirassy\u2019s deal.<\/p>\n

Berger claims that United are one of them, alongside Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal.<\/p>\n

Guirassy\u2019s deal would seemingly allow him to join one of the biggest European clubs around, but the Guinean striker has no plans to leave.<\/p>\n

Dortmund want to keep Guirassy, but if United come up with that \u00a360million clause, the 29-year-old striker may have a big decision to make.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Manchester United looking towards Bundesliga market<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a360million on a 29-year-old striker seems unlikely from United\u2019s perspective, even if Guirassy is an impressive goalscorer.<\/p>\n

The time to sign Guirassy would have been when he was smashing goals in for Stuttgart, and we can\u2019t see United paying up that kind of money for him this summer.<\/p>\n

United may still explore the Bundesliga market, though, with a number of targets on the radar.<\/p>\n

Christopher Vivell watched Benjamin Sesko<\/a> last week with the RB Leipzig striker still wanted at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n

Bayer Leverkusen\u2019s Patrik Schick is on United\u2019s radar<\/a>, representing another experience striking option whilst coming at around half the price of Guirassy.<\/p>\n

Hailed as a \u2018world class\u2019 striker by Dortmund boss Niko Kovac, as quoted by BuliNews<\/a>, Guirassy would certainly bolster United\u2019s attack, but we believe United would either spend that fee on a younger striker like Sesko, or spend less on a similar profile like Schick.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
