The former Premi\u00e8re Ligue champion and three-time Coupe de France winner at Paris Saint-Germain will join the Women\u2019s Super League (WSL) side for a world record women\u2019s fee of \u20ac1.65m. She\u2019s committed her future to the club for four years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the end, we came to the conclusion that this is the ideal thing for everyone,\u201d said Angelo Castellazzi, the sporting director for the PSG women. Geyoro was under contract with PSG until 2028, a club she first joined in 2012. <\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>It will be the Congo-born midfielder\u2019s first time playing for a club outside of France, though she will have one familiar face with her in London. The Lionesses are currently managed by Jocelyn Pr\u00eacheur, who coached the PSG women from 2023 until 2024. In his first season at the helm, the French manager guided the London side to the Women\u2019s Championship and a promotion into the WSL.<\/p>\n<p>Geyroso was voted the Best Young Player of the Premi\u00e8re Ligue in 2016-17, while helping PSG make the UEFA Women\u2019s Champions League on two occasions. She\u2019s also earned 103 caps for France, scoring 23 goals.<\/p>\n<p>She\u2019s only the third woman historically to break the \u00a31m transfer barrier, with Olivia Smith (21) previously signing for the Arsenal women for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/soccer\/story\/_\/id\/39523259\/women-world-transfer-record-history-geyoro-overtakes-ovalle\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:\u00a31.1m;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">\u00a31.1m<\/a> and Lizbeth Ovalle (25) joining Orlando Pride for \u00a31.1m.
