Police are investigating after a gang in balaclavas broke into a house in south Belfast.<\/p>\n

People were left shaken after a gang in balaclavas broke into a house in south Belfast.<\/p>\n

One of the intruders was brandishing a weapon, police said.<\/p>\n

The aggravated burglary took place on Friday evening.<\/p>\n

Detective Sergeant McCallum said: \u201cIt was reported that around 8.30pm, four men gained entry to a house in the Ulsterville Avenue area via a rear door.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne of the suspects was armed with a screwdriver. They were all described as being dressed in dark-coloured clothing, with hoods and balaclavas.<\/p>\n

“There have been no reports of any injuries, and nothing has been reported as stolen at this time, however the occupants have been left shaken by the ordeal.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area of Ulsterville Avenue, Ulsterville Place or Belgravia Avenue around the time of this incident, and noticed any suspicious persons or vehicles.<\/p>\n
